Were you one of the many mourners when TT Reynolds closed in Fairfax? Do you frequently go out to see live local music in the DC area? Are you new to the area and trying to discover some great local acts?

Maybe you're sick of hearing the same commercial garbage played on mainstream radio hour after hour? Or do you have nothing better to do than listen to strangers talk shit to each other interspersed with music?

This show is for you.

We are DC Rocksplosion, and we will help you discover and stay in touch with the local scene in northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland, including Baltimore. Our focus is on what we know best - rock music and its many incarnations - but we'll be talking to our friends in other genres such as hip-hop, metal, and folk-rock too. We will promise you this - no country music, ever.

We'll also discuss other local events, sports, and entertainment. Every episode will feature a prominent or emerging local act and we'll go in depth with them to give you compelling commentary beyond the typical "so tell me about your band" nonsense. Furthermore, we only bring you bands we personally know have the goods.

Unlike most podcasts hosted by a single dude in his basement, our show is hosted by three dudes in a basement - Jack KB, Justin, and William all from the DC area band NoCo, aka No Compromise.
