Hold on to your pants, this episode features one of the region’s most dedicated bands, Rome in a Day. We talk about their new album, grilling hot dogs, and how they shower together as a band. Yes, they have a girl in the band. Yes, you should be excited about this prospect. Listen now!
They’re also dropping a brand new full length album May 9 at the State Theatre in Falls Church along with DC Rocksplosion alumni Crash Boom Bang.
This week we were lucky enough to hang out with one of the staples of the DC Scene, Politicks. They have some hilarious stories about Nashville crackheads, ruining gingerbread exhibits, and why Lauryn Hill sucks.
Make sure you listen to the show then come see the band at State Theatre on March 20 and watch out for their new album Amuse Bouche coming soon!
Oh snap, we were very lucky to have the pleasure of getting together with Crash Boom Bang. Sure they’ve toured with the Plain White Ts, played all over the country, been thrown out of Chicago penthouses but we spent about 2 hours drinking and talking about bodily functions.
Lucky for you we edited it down to a 30 minute show. We had a blast doing this one, so be sure to check it out and then go buy their new album Gold Rush!
Hey everyone, just a quick note to let you know we’re still alive and kicking. The holiday break made it tough for us to schedule time with another band to do a new show but rest assured we’ll be back in the next week or two with a brand new way to waste your time on the job.
In the mean time check out some of our favorite locals with shows coming up in our area:
Get out there and support local music - or suffer through bouts of crappy disposable radio rock. And happy holidays!
On today’s show we discuss polygamy, middle school handjobs, and public embarassment. Jake from Redshift is in the studio to talk about the new EP they just dropped and play an acoustic brand new original.
